Mother's day is this Sunday

With the Pandemic going on, it may be difficult to celebrate Mother's Day the same way you would any other year. So if you aren't in a position to see her in person, then I recommend setting up a 45 minute zoom meeting with her. That way, you can have a conversation face too face, while also being a safe distance apart. I would also recommend sending her a gift via that mail, perhaps even having her open it on camera so you can see the surprise in her eyes.

If you are still living in the same household as her, and as such can spend the entire day with her safely, then I recommend these classic Mother's Day surprises. First of all, clean the house for her while she watches whatever she wants. This day is all about her, so she shouldn't have to lift a finger, unless it is for scrolling through Netflix. Secondly, give her a gift that shows you care. It can be hand made, or sore bought; just be sure that it is a gift that represents her interest (i.e. get her some Star Trek memorabilia if she's a Trekie). Finally, make her some hand made dinner from scratch. I would recommend looking up some recipes for One-Pot Pasta's, since those are delicious and easy to make. You can also try looking up some recipes here on the blog, I recommend the Meatball recipe myself.

Follow these steps, and your mother will certainly enjoy the day dedicated to her.

Try to be patient with yourself, your classmates, and your instructors during this time. Take care of your well-being first. Making a plan and adjusting your studying may help you feel even a little sense of control.” I recommend you take a few minutes to read through more of this document by clicking  here . Favorite memory of NCC

With the semester coming to a close, I would like to share my favorite memory of NCC of Spring 2021. For me, it would be when I first got back on campus after half a year online. It was just really nice to walk around campus, sitting face to face (but still six feet apart), with my friends. And with so many other Americans getting vaccinated, we might be able to be 100% in person by the start of the Summer semester.  But what was your favorite NCC memory? let me know in the comments, and have a great day.
