Studying tips

Its the start of of the Spring Semester, and some of us are already studying for the next quiz or test. Here are some tips to make studying a an easier time.

1. Take periodic breaks. Take 10 minute breaks every 30-50 minutes. I'd suggest using that time to stretch your legs and use the restroom.

2. Listen to music. This tip won't work for everyone, because I know some people who can only focus in absolute silence. But for me at least, I find that listening to some lo-fi music or my favorite podcast  really takes the stress away from studying.

3. Don't cram for an exam. Cramming overnight for an exam is far from a good idea. The fatigue from studying overnight can really hurt your performance on a test, and chances are you'd hardly retain any of the information from the night before. I'd personally recommend taking an hour each night before bed to study for any up coming exam you'd might have a week or two before hand.

4. stay hydrated. Have a cup of water or your preferred beverage by your side while studying. avoid sodas or other beverages that are high in sodium, since they actually make you more dehydrated.  Staying hydrated tends to help me keep focus, and calm me down if I get frustrated.

Try to be patient with yourself, your classmates, and your instructors during this time. Take care of your well-being first. Making a plan and adjusting your studying may help you feel even a little sense of control.” I recommend you take a few minutes to read through more of this document by clicking  here . Favorite memory of NCC

With the semester coming to a close, I would like to share my favorite memory of NCC of Spring 2021. For me, it would be when I first got back on campus after half a year online. It was just really nice to walk around campus, sitting face to face (but still six feet apart), with my friends. And with so many other Americans getting vaccinated, we might be able to be 100% in person by the start of the Summer semester.  But what was your favorite NCC memory? let me know in the comments, and have a great day.
