Meatball Recipe

Recently, I have been experimenting with making the best meatballs I can, and I think I finally accomplished that goal.

Ingredients:

1lbs ground beef

1 cup Italian breadcrumbs

1 packet Italian seasoning

2 tablespoons onion powder

1 tablespoon garlic powder

½ cup Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon Parsley

1 tablespoon Basil

1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

teaspoon paprika

1 egg

Salt and pepper

Directions

First off, get a pound of ground beef in a bowl Next add 1 cup of Italian breadcrumbs, ½ cup Parmesan, 2 tablespoons of onion powder, one tablespoon of garlic powder, one tablespoon red pepper flakes, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 tablespoon Parsley, one tablespoon Basil one teaspoon salt and black pepper, and finally, one large egg. With all of your ingredients in the bowl, it's time to start mixing.

With your WELL WASHED HANDS, start mixing your ingredients until it’s all well incorporated. Then, get out a baking sheet, and cover with oven-safe baking paper. Roll your meat-mixture into individual, one-inch-thick meatballs and place them one the baking sheet, with about a one-inch space between them. . Once you have all your meat nicely rolled up, place them in the center rack of a 375-degree oven, and set the timer for 15 minutes.

I should let you know that when your batch of meatballs are done, you'd need to sacrifice one of your meatballs by cutting it in half, like so, and see if it’s cooked all the way through. If it’s still pink in the center, then put it back in for 3-5 more minutes, depending on how undercooked it is. All that’s left is to let your meatballs cool for five minutes and your good to go.

Staying Organized

With the transition to online learning, staying organized is going to be difficult. Here are three quick tips to keeping yourself organized with this new platform! 1. Keep a Planner When you’re working from home, it can be easy to forget what time, day, or even week it is. Keeping a planner and updating it daily is vital for keeping track of due dates and schedules. When you don’t have a regular class schedule, it’s important to keep a planner so that you know when your Zoom meetings are, when your assignments are due, and how that fits in with the rest of your schedule. There are so many online planner resources if you prefer to do it on your phone or computer; otherwise, Amazon has excellent planner options as well. 2. Continue to Use a School Bag I know it sounds kind of strange to use a bag when you’re staying home all day, but hear me out. If you still keep all of your stuff in your bag, not only have you contained the mess of schoolwork that you have, but y...

Mackenzie Murphy on "Snacks for Those Who Have Our Backs"

I've always been someone who has been involved in the community. I have always had a passion for making a difference and giving back to those in need. Much of my involvement and love for serving others, stems from the way I was raised. I am one of six kids, with the last three of us having been adopted. My mom is a retired nurse and worked for the State of NH, so I was raised with foster children and teenagers living with us for much of my childhood. Through the years, I have learned to never judge a book by its cover, to always help out those who may need a helping hand and make sure I give back to those who give so much, as my parents have been shining examples throughout my life. Through my involvement, I have served on many different community boards and organizations and tried to lend a hand whenever I saw the opportunity. However, I always felt like I wasn't doing "enough" and wanted to make a bigger impact. The perfect moment came when I was on a Zoom ca...
