Golden Globes

The Golden Globe nominations are out, and Hamilton got nominated for Best Picture- Musical or Comedy. The idea of a pre-recorded Broadway show being nominated has me exited.

Back in my first year of high school, I managed to go on a school trip to see Wicked live on Broadway.  It was one of the best experiences of my life, but I was also disappointed in the fact that I would never see it again. But with the success of the filmed version of Hamilton, it wouldn't surprise me if Disney does the same thing for Wicked, since they own the rights to it. Even better, if Hamilton wins the Golden Globe, other companies will start doing the same thing and released filmed versions of live plays like The Phantom of the Opera and a good version of Cats.

Other nominations I'm happy with are the multiple noms for Promising Young Women and Viola Davis getting nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA.

But what nominations are you exited for? share in the comments and be sure to watch the Golden Globes, or just read who won on social media.

Random Thought: an Anti-Karen Restaurant

Everyone who has worked in food service knows that Karens are the worst. They confront you about the littles things (sometimes for no reason at all), they belittle you at every opportunity, and they are constantly asking to see the manager, hoping to see you punished for just doing your job. The worst part, you have to take it all without the slightest hint of sass, or else your the bad guy in your employer's eyes. But what if you worked at a restaurant that would not only take your side, but actively encouraged sassy behavior? That's were my idea comes in, "The Haven from Karen Dinner and Grill".      Inspired by a Hungarian  restaurant from State College, PA, that would paddle guests that didn't finish their food; this Dinner's staff is encouraged to finish every customer interaction with a bit of sass. They are encouraged to welcome every guess with a sarcastic remark like "welcome to Haven From Karen, would...
